Located
in the heart of Oxford St, the Berkelouw Paddington store
opened in March, 1994, and has since become something of an
institution amongst Sydney's literary community. It even featured
as a location in Maggie Alderson's novel, "Pants on Fire".
Paddington's three storeys house an extensive range of new,
rare and secondhand books. In keeping with Oxford St's famous
round-the-clock lifestyle, the store is open until midnight
every night of the week, attracting an interesting and eclectic
variety of customers. Upstairs is an espresso bar, Caffe Centaur,
which is a great place to soak up some ambience and escape
from the hectic street scene outside.
Open
7 days, 9.30am - midnight.
